Using widgets

Hi
When I moved to the edge I basically set it up the same as my iPhone 6 and didn't use widgets. What's the best way to incorporate widgets??what are the best ones to use?

It'll probably take a little while before you know which ones to use. I take a lot of notes and make grocery lists so I have the Keep widget on one screen. I listen to Google Play music a lot so I have a widget with the controls for that, the Google widget is always useful as is weather and I have the GSam widget for battery performance at a glance.

I use Outlook for Android and use their email and calendar widgets + HD widget for weather + Todoist widget for my to-do list.
Widgets on the home screen are what keep me on Android!!
