The camera on my LG G4 refuses to focus, so I figure I'll just get a new LG G4. Old one is running Android 6.0. Are there any utilities to transfer data save files? Specifically, I can load up a game and pick up where I left off from

Through some quick searching, I've found stuff like this...
http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBISAPI.DLL/,/?New,Kb=Mobile,Ts=Mobile,T=Device,varset_pid=15508,varset_cid=15520,Case=EXT(EM59896)

But this is only for Contact/address book entries. I'd like my new phone to be a clone of what I had on my old one.

For transferring the protected data files, I would expect LG to have the "phone swap" app you are looking for.

Most games nowadays backup to the cloud. If you have some that don't, look into something like Helium.

It doesn't require root, but allows you to backup app data to transfer to another phone.

Regarding your LG G4, you're one of the lucky ones if you've gone this long without the infamous bootloop. I'd suggest going with something else and newer. If you get another G4, it'll be used or refurbished at this point, and could still suffer the bootloop. I personally went from the G4 to the V20 and couldn't be happier.
