Looking forward to it. What would a newbies next step be after first time root?

If you have an unlocked boatloader, a recovery, and root, try getting S-OFF.

Hmmm. I'm now not rooted apparently. Ran titanium back up pro and all was ok. Ran busy box and it said it couldn't save to my selected location or something. Now it says I'm not rooted. Ran a root checker app and it confirmed it.

Edit. Rebooted and now it says I'm rooted again.

Wizzrah, I need help. This thread looks pretty up-to-date judging by the dates of posts so maybe you can help me. I want to unlock the bootloader, root, yada, yada, yada... I have an HTC One X running 4.2.2. AT&T model. Will this toolkit help me out? By the way, thanks for everything you do to make noobs' (like myself) lives a whole lot easier!

Can you specify what you need help with? I'm working on a new toolkit + a step by step guide, so you should wait for that.

Yea, I read that in the 1st post. I didn't know if it had been released yet. What I was asking for is help getting the bootloader unlocked. I don't think the rooting will be an issue (fingers crossed). From what I've been researching, AT&T phones are the hardest to do this with. Especially with current updates . I had no issues rooting my RAZR but this One X is a pickle.

Re: EZToolkit Adv: HTC One Toolkit [Unlock bootloader, flash recovery, root]

Does having an unlocked phone (for use with any carrier) make this process easier or would it be the same as a locked phone?

This toolkit is for the HTC One. What do you have? A one or one x?
