Re: **now with pics/proof** root,bootloader unlock,s-off at&t htc one x on 3.18 update!

Do you have a skype? I can help you from there

Had a computer issue this whole weekend so I couldn't even respond. I do have skype. I'll send you my username and maybe you can give me an assist when you have some time.

wizzrah,

Many thanks. I've tried several methods and this is the one that worked for me. The only difficulty I had was getting the drivers loaded. I have no clue as to why they didn't want to load, but once they did, stuff happened.

Yes, you will have to flash the boot.img for EVERY ROM you flash. S-off makes it easy so you don't have to. What do you mean you don't have cid 11111111? Then how did you get an unlocked bootloader?

Maybe this would apply to myself as well... I accidentally deleted all data with TWRP on my One X +, and if you remember, I'm rooted but no S-Off. So now, I can boot into recovery, but now have no OS installed. If I could still somehow flash a ROM without S-Off, it would save the day for me.

You can. You can flash a ROM without s off. But not the ROMs on my guide. They'll brick your phone.

Also this S off method does not work for the one x plus.

I appreciate it, and the quick response. I've got a CM10 specifically for X +. And, not to be pedantic, but would the command while in bootloader simply be "fastboot flash boot.img" and then "fastboot flash zip xxxx(cm10rom).zip"?

This is what you got to do? Do you have android sdk? If not, let me know. Inside the rom zip is a file called boot.img. Copy that boot.img and paste it inside the folder in sdk called "platform tools" Now you need to open cmd. Then change the directory to that it aims to the platform tools folder. Connect your phone while it is in fastboot mode. Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and let it finish. Then go into recovery and put the rom into your phone. Then you can flash it from there. Let me know if you can't manage to put the zip onto your phone.

I REALLY appreciate the help, wizzrah. I don't know what I've done, but recovery just freezes on its boot screen. I flashed recovery again, but same results. All I can do is navigate through the **Tampered**/**Unlocked** screen... I went ahead and flashed the boot anyway and even tried flashing the cm10 zip, but it fails everytime ("not allowed").

Type "fastboot erase cache" then try flashing the recovery (fastboot flash recovery "name of recovery.img"

took pic and posted it in earlier comment

I see. It should say something like cid-11111111. I can help you via team viewer or skype to see what the problem is.
