v1.2 to 1.4 Still Boot from MicroSD?

I have a Nook Color for Christmas. I immediately created a CM7 boot from MicroSD card for it. I love it. I recently booted it back into Nook Color (with the card out of the slot) and noticed that the version was 1.2...2 versions behind. If I let it update to 1.4, will I still be able to shut it down, insert the SD card, turn it on, and boot from the MicroSD card slot? ie. Did they (Barnes and Noble) block SD card booting with v1.4? I'd like to retain the ability to boot back and forth at will like I have now.

Yes, you can still boot. But don't keep swapping the card out or the slot will break. It is very weak.

I've only done it once or twice since I got it. I just wanted to make sure I would still have the option.

CM7 does have a boot manager built in so you can boot from the sdcard or emmc. Just hold the N button down while powering on.

That is not a CM7 feature, it is hard wired into the Nook Color.
