I believe LG did this kind of deal with the G4 and most of the people never received their free stuff.
A friend of ours said she never received the free goodies for her G4 and even got the approval from them.

I Submitted on G4 and i got it so did 99.99% of people that friend will be the 00.01% who supposedly didn't receive it.
And BTW if you read that promotion and this it clearly says "While Supplies Last"

If this were to happen with the V10 it would probably be the nail in the coffin for LG. They are already struggling financially and not competing all too successfully with Samsung. If this phone is supposed to help them climb back up, they could not afford a scandal with the promo that prompted a lot of the V10 sales.

That would suck, but I think they'd have to have purchased these SD cards in huge quantities to get the unit price low enough to give them away for free. Hopefully they'll be shipping soon!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you look at felloffthetruck's posting history, it seems to be mostly just trying to spread random FUD about the V10. I wouldn't be surprised if he never even had one. Some people just like to mess with people on the internet.

LG's mobile division is losing money, but LG as a company posts some pretty decent profits. For 2015 Q2, LG electronics posted a profit of more than $251 million US dollers...something like 294 billion South Korean Won. There is no denying that Samsung is the bigger dog in the fight, with an operating profit of over 6 billion US dollars last quarter, but I think a quarter billion in profits will keep the lights on at LG regardless of how their mobile division fares. In some ways, for a electronics giant, keeping a foot in the mobile game is a necessity, regardless of direct mobile sales profits..

There's no doubt about that.. Branding is very important, and having an active and moderately popular smart phone line is crucial in order to stay relevant in the electronics space. Aside from that, the patents and R&D associated with displays, batteries, software, and other hardware benefit the company as a whole. Mobile isn't a autonomous business. It's an integrated and essential part of the electronics business, and probably the very reason Amazon attempted to enter the space, knowing full well they had very small chance any any real market penetration.

Frankly LG gets underrated a lot in general. I own 2 LG TVs (1 plasma, 1 LCD) and they are of great quality and better pricing than most other brands out there for similar quality TVs.

So true.. Bought a 3D tv from them, then 2 blu-ray players, and then my wife bought their front loaded washer/dryer and now the phones... They are taking over our household I tell ya!
