V10 Verizon Update - VS99011B

Updating. Would be great if this helps with the bluetooth audio issue in my Silverado.

Hi, I have two concerns with this update and haven't installed it yet. #1, I have a Parrot Zik 2.0 noise cancelling headset that won't pair with the V10, and wondering if those who have similar Bluetooth audio connectivity issues brave enough to have installed this update have noticed an improvement, and #2, more importantly to me in the long term, does this update break the Foxfi Wi-Fi hotspot app?

Thanks for you responses in advance!

Indeed it is ... Google Play Music is much louder at half volume than before.

I will test that after work. I use GP in the car via Bluetooth and with this particular phone I have to crank the car volume way up to hear anything, even when the BT volume on the phone is maxed. Hopefully that won't be the case any longer.

Is this the placebo effect? Most of the improvements posters are mentioning were not talked about in the update.

I saw other things mentioned on the phone notification: Bluetooth was one of them but I didn't pay attentions to the others.

Got mine today. So happy I can FINALLY use my fingerprint scanner with my case with confidence

The second screen does seem narrower. Fingerprint recognition is about the same for me, but I had never had any problem with that before.

FPR works with my Incipio Dual Layer case.... AND.....can now listed to media (music, Pandora, etc) on my Pioneer NEX4100 via Bluetooth. Before update FPR didn't work and only could listen to tunes on NEX4100 if connected to Android Auto.

Not all.....my FPR now works with my Incipio Dual Layer and my Bluetooth issues are gone (hopefully there aren't others I don't know about ;) )

Many fixes in an update are not detailed in the releases. Rarely do you get a full changelog from any company (unlike a Linux distro etc) . It would probably create more (not real) problems to provide that info to the general user base is the thinking.

Not to say the placebo effect doesn't exist. ;-)

All in all, sounds like a good update for you VZW V10 owners. I wish TMo would get on the ball an issue an updater for their V10 instead of trying to throttle their users video streams!

I downloaded the update today.
I noticed the following: MUCH improved fingerprint scanning. Bluetooth audio actually works in the car now. Prior to this, I got no audio connection and the track controls did not work at all.

I had to force it to find updates available 4 times, it wouldn't connect to the LTE network, 5th time was a charm, installing the 88.9 meg file now.[BOX]:)[/BOX]

I noticed the same thing regarding louder speaker which is very nice considering the note 5 had a louder speaker initially. Did anyone else have an issue with the upper left hand section of the touchscreen being unresponsive before the update? Any icons that were on the upper left screen could not be accessed when touched.
