V20 in Otterbox Defender case dropped FRONT face down on carpet, then REAR camera glass cracked!

The slim narrow bezels on the silver LG V20 practically look white when you look at the phone, if you are still interested.

Yeah be careful near the toilet haha lol

I am a bit worried about the camera lens thing and will be checking both my V20s often and keeping my fingers crossed. I'm hoping LG does step up and acknowledge the issue but we'll see.

I left the plastic on the lenses of mine

Am i the only one that is not worried at all? If it breaks, oh well. Crap happens. Nothing is perfect. I will deal with it when or if it happens. Im not getting rid of a phone i like for that.

Nope, I feel the same way, it's just a phone and nothing more. Besides, I've already dropped mine on a hard tile floor and all is fine no breakage of any kind. However, it's in a UAG case.

I definitely left the plastic on, never ever even considered possibly removing it...even before this "camera lens" stuff.

It is just a phone but at $830 x2 it's not an insignificant investment for me so I do consider it. ...and I like my phones to stay pristine, just for peace of mind.

Why are they not using what the space program uses?
Or maybe someone needs to hurry up and discover transparent aluminium of the kind in Star Trek ROFL!!

A few years back, I got me a Galaxy S5... I had the misfortune of 3 with cracked glass in less than 6 months... so understand the paranoia. 😨😵😱😰

Won't be long until replacement glass shows up on eBay...

The glass issue wont be a issue with me if they offer the replacement online it just the possible bootloop but at that point people mention beside the initial setup the temp stay good..

Sorry to hear about your trouble; seems unusual to me. I'm thinking the camera lens shouldn't have been damaged.
