V20 or V30?

It doesn't take collusion and conspiracy to see that selling new phones is more profitable than selling batteries for old phones. Still, all the "get over it" talk is just reinforcing our powerless (heh, heh) position. Keep asking for the features you want. Keep complaining about the changes you don't like. But do it where the industry and the reviewers will get the message.

The only venue we really have to complain is by refusing to buy products that we don't like. There are not enough of us to be able to drive the point home.

Um... what? So we always just have to sigh, join the lowest common denominator, and buy the latest expensive gimmick or settle for the "least bad" phone?

Also remember that every company is looking for distinguishing features for their top-of-the-line, be it premium materials (read prestige$$) or features (e.g. V20 Second Screen) to boost visibility and (hopefully) sales. That provides a little leverage.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I said nothing of the sort.

I have a hunch it will have a 2nd screen, but much better due to the AMOLED screen. With AMOLED, it won't require 2 separate panels. Only the pixels at the top will handle the 2nd screen info, while the lower half pixels don't have to be on. One of the many advantages of AMOLED.
This means you will be able to chose and move around where the 2nd panel info is located (top, bottom), or completely not use if you dont want to and use that for extra screen space.

Hope you are right

I didn't say you said those things. I wrote what I think the results of what you said lead to.
Well then I think you grossly misunderstood my statement. It would lead to nothing of the sort....not even remotely related, however you are entitled to your viewpoint.

V30: The bigger 6.0" screen is nice. Lack of stupid second screen is another good idea.

However the battery is a deal breaker. A 3000+ mAh cell is completely inadequate in a 2560x1400 resolution phone. Additional pixels result in additional drain versus a 1080 HD phone.

I would say 10,000 mAh is the min. Keep in mind that all Li-ion cells degrade. So after a year the stock cell will have even less capacity than new.

Do you even know how thick the phone would get... Also people are reporting excellent battery on the 30... Combined with newer android builds, the efficiency will only go up

Yes, know. Thick is good. Much easier to hold. In stock form, V* devices are way too thin to hold comfortably. There is no way to comfortably hold the phone if it's as thick as 5 credit cards put together.

I don't mind thin, but a some point there is no increased benefit from making it thinner.
That's why taking away features to make phones thinner for sealed batteries is such a crock.
Manufactures have taken the IR blaster, head phone jack, sd card slot, and removable battery all in an effort to make phones thinner.
I know many like to carry their phones naked but most use some type of case.
Cases (especially the large protective Otterbox type) make all that effort to save a couple on millimeters silly.
As these phones get better they shouldn't be losing still useful and relevant features and functions.
