Re: Is your camera glass cracking?

People are telling us they are shattering like this. We should believe them 100%

Re: Is your camera glass cracking?

Anyone had issues with their rear camera glass? According to a source on the net some individuals have reported that the glass covering the camera is susceptible to cracking under minimal stress.

I think its probably isolated freak reports but just wondering if there are others out there in the AC community who've had this issue already.

The camera glass on the LG V20 is reportedly shattering under minimal stress | MobileSyrup.com
Just leave the plastic on the lenses

Re: Is your camera glass cracking?

Every single story about a lens breaking all sound suspect to me. Mine hasn't cracked from a 3 foot drop on a tile floor landing directly on the back. If it was that fragile of a lens that people say it is then there is no way it would've survived that fall. People need to stop looking for attention.

My camera lens glass shattered in December, had it repaired by LG at $83, had it back less than two weeks and it's cracked again.

Had mine since 11/15/2016. Camera glass has not shattered. I currently have a SlickWraps skin protector on it. Haven't dropped the phone yet. Watch Android Authority's drop test on this phone on YouTube. It's pretty durable. It's better than the Samsung phones with the glass rear panel; wouldn't survive a 3 feet drop.

Can we get a poll: how many Samsung users have a broken back glass? I'd like to know!

Have had my V20 since launch no issues with several drops and took it on vacation to the islands as well.

My work issued S7 has a cracked lens. Not sure how. It was always in a case. Doesn't affect pictures however.

I'm strongly leaning toward buying a V20 to replace my Note 5 -- primarily because of the V20's audio performance and SD card slot. However, I do want to get an idea of whether the whole camera glass thing is just a few isolated incidents or something more widespread.

Only vote in this poll if you own a V20.

Here it is, late January...I've had this phone since launch several months back. I'm clumsy and have dropped it many times...NO issues with the camera glass or lens or whatever it is. ANY phone can break if you drop it, poke it, mindlessly shove it in your purse and then wonder what happened later when possibly your keys or something else damaged it. This can happen to ANY phone!! Any!! These are electronics that should really be taken care of. This is a solid, great device!! Like any other fragile electronic, if your afraid of breaking it, get the insurance.

No breaks here, I dropped my phone face down in the parking lot at work, it bounced once and flipped over on the back side, still not even a scratch.

Same here. No damage whatsoever. Ive kept the plastic cover on and I keep it in a case. I've dropped the phone a few times but always in the case.

Not at all but my power button is stuck. Still works for fingerprint but the button is jammed somehow.

No issues with the camera...
Although I do still have the plastic on and it's in a case. It's been dropped a few times as well and still no issues with any cracks in the camera.

It will only break during an average drop if it takes a direct hit or if something hard presses against it in a pocket or bag, pack, etc.
