Can only compare pic speed from my Nexus 5X. V30 has been way faster so far... I'd say half the amount of time to capture. Totally happy with it for my purposes.

Without a doubt you can create better pictures in manual mode. But that isn't how most people shoot and compare phones or use them in daily situations. If you want a fast auto mode phone get and iPhone or note 8. They are both more consistent. That said, the v30 is much improved over the G6 I had. I feel it's close to the iPhone 7 plus and note 8 I had.
