I'm looking for opinions on which devices, if any, others would choose to bring along on vacation.

FWIW, the Windows device can fold into a tablet, although the keyboard is not detachable. I have no separate keyboard for the Android tablet.

The sizes are what I have, although I welcome input on any variation. I think the platform differences are more significant. Also, I prefer not to bring both but would if compelled to do so. Thanks for any input.

What are you going to need the device for? Just web browsing? Streaming movies/other media?

Will be watching movies locally (flash drive), and connecting phones & GoPro to manage photos/videos. And the usual Web consumption stuff.

One thing, the Windows device has HDMI-out, which has proven nice when connecting to a hotel room TV. I need to decide how important that is, I guess.

Hmm, in that case I'd go with the Windows device/laptop. It will be way easier to manage phones and photo/video from your GoPro.

Damn, leaning towards bringing both. Agreed, the Ultrabook would be more useful, but it'll be tough leaving the new Nexus 9 at home for 10 days. I know, 1st world problems...

And yeah, bringing 2 phones, also. :\

LOL. Yeah, if it's an ultrabook and a Nexus 9 I'd bring both 😀

Shouldn't take up too much space and they're maybe 4-5 lbs max?
