Vanilla ROM available?

I have been going back and forth between the moment and Hero. I have come to the realization that what I want is a Hero with vanilla android sans Sense. Is there a ROM available that strips Sense but everything else is functional? I know there is a vanilla 2.0 out there but no camera or wifi is a deal breaker.

menu>settings>applications>manage applications>htc sence> clear defaults and force stop then hit the home button and select home instead of htc sence when prompted and there you go (you can choose to make home default when prompted and it will kepp it that way)

wow! i never new that. This is only my third day or so with the hero and I've gotten it rooted and all... but never new i could do that. go android!

Will that allow you to run the home apps that are not compatible with sense?

This kills off sense, but leaves the dialer and keyboard/dictionary intact.

You could get creative and remove more, but what's on the will leave you with a 100% usable phone, and you get the superior dialer and OSK. You could pull the dialer and OSK from AOSP and use vanilla, but why? lol.

You can't remove HTC IM completely though, so I don't suggest fooling with it. Sync, Gtalk and the market all need parts of IM to run.
