I ahve a nexus 7 tablet (32GB) and the battery seems to have fully drained as I accidently left it on too long. I usually try to either keep it charged and/or turn it off. Now, it doesn't seem to charge at all.

In the past, this happened to me and I remember doing a special procedure to get it back to life and charging, but can't seem to remember or find it. I see how there are several posts saying to hold the power button while plugged in and/or hold the power button and vol down while plugged in (1+ min), but neither of these methods have worked yet.

Any other suggestions or methods to get it revived?

How long have you tried charging it? Try leaving it plugged into a wall outlet for at least 4 hours before even trying to power it on. Ideally, let it charge overnight.

If it's really, really dead (I just got one with the battery down to 2.2 Volts), leave it on the charger for 24 hours. (That one charge is now giving me 3 days of standby per charge [down to 50%] on that phone.) If you don't abuse a battery, letting it discharge all the way once or twice won't do much damage.

I purchased an open box Nexus 7 and it arrived with the battery dead. I plugged it in the charger for a few hours, and the battery is still at 0% - it is like it will not accept the charge. The OS appears to be 5.0.2, and there is a 5.1 update pending, but it will not allow me to apply it with the battery so low. It seems I am stuck. I will try the 24 hour charge and see if that makes any difference.

I wonder if plopping it on a wireless charger would make a difference

You're better off using the wired wall charger.

It's also possible that the charger data cable port is damaged if it isn't taking any charge at all.
