velocity cruz tablet rooting?

Does anyone know if this device has been rooted yet? From all the reviews, it sounds like software is the major issue with the device, but the price is decent.

Seen this on QVC today with 5 payments. Was very tempted to buy it, but wanted to get more info on the specs and if it could be rooted. I wonder if anyone has tried yet?
