Verify my noob first attempt to install a ROM

Hello, first off thanks for reading this and responding so i make sure i dont brick my phone.

I want to install this custom rom on my Galaxy S2( epic4gtouch)

[JB:CM10:HYBRD][E4GT] PARANOIDANDROID [2.10-1, True HybridMode][09/06/12]

I can see the easily laid out instructions, however i just want further guidance.
I have installed ROM manager and have done flash clockworkmod recovery. (yes my phone is rooted via odin)

Next steps would be to wipe my phone clean with a factory reset and then go back into clockwork mod and install the rom and then gapps.
(also does it matter which gapps i put on the phone)?

Then i CWM: Wipe Cache Partition ...and then CWM: Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache. can i do that back to back with no reboot ?

Welcome to AC! There is a forum dedicated to this device in the Samsung section, you'll find useful information there for any/all flashing needs.

There are a few things you need to know before flashing the ROM you are referencing. Head to this forum post in the Epic 4g Touch forums for more information: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ep...rtant-read-regarding-emmc-brick-bug-e4gt.html

In particular, head down the first post to the section titled "Working with CM9 or other AOSP based ROMs". You need to install a certain version of Clockwork Mod recovery to safeguard yourself from a brick. It's all laid out in the thread for your reading pleasure.
