Verizon 4.4.4 Root

Is it possible to root 4.4.4? My brother just wants to be able to tether wirelessly.

I would like to know how too on my Dev Verizon edition with the boot loader unlocked.

Old thread but...

There is no root option for a 2013 X running 4.4.4.

If you have a non-dev edition X for Verizon, ATT or Republic Wireless, running 4.4.2 or lower, you can use JCASE's Sunshine tool.

When L comes, it will likely be harder to root.

Actually, there is. I'm rooted on a 4.4.4 Verizon dev edition. I'm on mobile right now but I will provide the links as soon as I can.
