Verizon acting weird

This is true. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I think a first time Android user is the perfect person to jump in with ICS.

One of my friends got the Galaxy Nexus after being disappointed with the iPhone 4S. It's his first Android phone. AFAIK he's had no problems getting used to Android. Or at least no more problems getting used to it as switching to any other version of Android from another OS.

My wife, who is tech challenged, loves her Android. She has the DINC2 and says she will never go back to the iphone. I believe her exact words were, "I liked the iPhone but it's too fisher price for me. I've graduated onto bigger and better things."

To be completely honest, right now I'd rather this phone not be in the hands of the average person. It's technically a developer phone

Haha....... what! Seriously?? A developer phone. Its ICS without a skin UI overlay.........

I don't see myself going back to the iPhone either. I did from my Nexus One. I loved the features of Android, but it was always so choppy and laggy after a while of using it with multiple apps running in the background. I know people said not to use task killers but I had to or reboot. I chose iOS over that.

ICS covers that though. The hardware acceleration and the dual core processor make this phone so butter smooth and it's a lot more refined now. Unless iOS could pull off a MAJOR overhaul, no way I'm going back.

Of course its a developer phone!!! There's a developer section that allows you to enable the CPU Processing View! Sheesh... man.. I tell ya.... ;)

Developer section..... oooooo the section where I can show pointer locations, show touches, show screen updates.. come on I can do that with my rooted thunderbolt. ;-)

I read all the threads posted regardless of what device I have. I do have the freedom to buy another device at any point, so I read all threads about all devices. And again, you prove my point. All the Nexus fans were flooding ALL other threads, and now are getting defensive when somebody points out faults with your device.

Actually, no, I'm not getting defensive. I'm just wondering why someone would bother and how someone would possibly have so much time to devote to every single thread about every single device. For instance, I have never read any of the Thunderbolt or Bionic or Charge or Droid threads because I don't care and I don't have that kind of time.

And no, ALL the Nexus fans were not flooding ALL other threads. I certainly wasn't.

I had the Droid Razr for about a month... Returned it when the GN came out, only had to pay a $35 restocking fee. The girl at the store said, "You're a smart man". The Razr wasn't bad by any means but, the screen and camera compared to the GN are not even close. The GN is so much more crisp.. The motocast on the Razr barely worked. The smart actions weren't bad on the Razr though and with the ICS upgrade it will definitely be a better phone. I used google wallet/paypass last night at bestbuy and I couldn't stop looking at my GN when I got in my car.. Great phone. The cashier thought It was the best invention yet

I went into my Verizon store on the day the Nexus came out. Not only was there ZERO fanfare (it was at the back of the store, after you pass the Android tablets, iPhone and iPad and Droids, mixed in with a number of other phones like the Rezound), but the one example they had on display was the ONLY display model in the store with a tie-wrap going around it and bisecting the middle of the screen.

Huge contrast to the day they got the iPhone.

Same thing at my store, except they had 3 razr's on display and many duplicates of others...yet a single Nexus and it wasn't working. This is at 10:30 on Launch Day. It was pretty obvious to me that they weren't pushing the Nexus at all.

I also noticed that two of the five reps already had their own Nexus phones if that means anything.

I did, but I got tired of reading through old Bionic threads. :-[

LOL you are so right about the bionic . I returned that POS right away . and i still stand by what I said at this point the nexus is a buggy piece of crap . it may improve though i hope it does . i could really use one of those super fast updates I keep hearing about cause now im getting the random reboots . ..

The employee at the store I went to today would not let me buy any phone but the GN. He told me not to pass up on it and it was the best phone he has ever seen by far.

The one I went to didn't care one way or another. They just seemed like they were selling another phone.
