Verizon Android phone with best call quality?

It seems like most smartphones suck at call quality, and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about all the Android phones I've started looking at--Droid 3, Thunderbolt, and a couple others.

I love my current smartphone, but it also doesn't have very good call quality, and it's starting to fall apart. There must be some phone out there that still puts an emphasis on the term "phone." (UPDATE: so far the Droid X2 looks promising, but I'm finding conflicting reports on the Incredible 2.)

So, what are the best 2 or 3 current Verizon Android phones, in terms of call quality? If you really want to convince me, please link to at least one professional review on AndroidCentral, CNET, or some other consumer electronics or phone review site which would be reliable and consistent in terms of comparisons with other phones.

Right now I'm only seriously considering phones that I can get for free under contract through Wirefly, Amazon, or directly from VerizonWireless, but feel free to mention other phones with good call quality if you know of any.

EDIT: it would be really awesome if someone maintained a table somewhere of various features and weighted ratings based on multiple review sites. Does such a table exist anywhere?

I am also looking for the phone that is best at being a phone. My wife and I have Incredibles and the call quality is lacking. We will switch carriers to get a phone that does the calling well on its own (no blue teeth). Hope some folks weigh in on the issue.

I finally settled on a Droid X2 because I was able to order it from Wirefly today for free on my family plan and get 10% off my monthly bill through StudentRate. Every review I could find says the X2 has great call quality, but apparently there are stability problems which cause the phone to spontaneously reboot anywhere from 10 times a day to once every 2 weeks. One of my friends has an original Droid X and he said his had the same problem but he thinks it's related to heat. If he carries it in his front or back pocket, it reboots, but if he's wearing cargo pants and carries it in a loose side pocket, it's fine.

Hell, the best phones, are the ones you root, change roms, then flash to an optimized radio.

The other phone I was looking at was the Droid Incredible 2, but most reviews said its call quality was okay sometimes but horrible other times. I've seen people say that they were able to fix the call quality on the original Droid Incredible by changing some setting (it didn't involve rooting), but nobody seems to have been able to fix the Droid Incredible 2. I also decided against the DINC2 because I looked at it side-by-side with an X2 in-store and the dark theme made it unreadable with low brightness, which probably also explains the complaints about not being able to see the screen in sunlight.
