It is almost a leasing program.
Keep in mind that you would have to pay off half the phone to upgrade... AND return the old phone. It is almost a leasing program.
Why would they give you $300 for turning in your phone??? I thought you have to turn your phone into them, but they don't pay you for it, they just give you the next model and your payments start again for 24 months.....
Am I missing something?

Don't they give you a credit for the phone you turn in? If you had a S6 they said it you got a S7 on device payment plans you would get $300 for a Galaxy

Well if they do like the deal now, and offer you $300 for a Galaxy, then it's a fine deal. Figure the S7 Edge costs $790. Pay off 50%, that's $395. Then if you can get $300 for turning in your old Galaxy S7 Edge, then that's only $95 to use a phone for a year.
Early edge is a different program. It allows you to upgrade early on dpp, but you must turn in your current phone or pay a non return fee up to $329This is on their FAQ for the iPhone program
