It seems that using a Verizon car charger is causing the phone to overheat.

I Plugged my phone into the charger on my way home from work, It got really hot but I thought nothing of it. When I got home the battery was at 70% I put it in my pocket when inside and a few min later I had to take it out of my pocket becouse it was so hot. 20 min later I looked at the phone and the battery was at 20%, I rebooted the phone and it cooled down and the battery stopped draining. I've tried this a few times with the same result.

I was reading in another forum, and several other people where having the problem, ONLY THE ONES WITH VERIZON CHARGERS. So I went to walmart bought a $10 charger plugged it in and the problem completly went away.

I love monoprice. I didn't know they carried something like that. I ordered 2. One for my car and one for my wife. Less than 4 dollars shipped! Hope they are good quality like their cables. Thanks for the heads up, Scopic!

i have been having the same problem, only overheats with the verizon charger.

i've had it since my storm, i wonder if i can go back and complain...

What charger specifically, because I got a Verizon Home/Car 2 in 1 charger from my girlfriend that I have been using.

I'll post a picture of the charger later, it's just the standard verizon micro usb charger.

i have two of the verizon car chargers and i usually keep the phone on my leg as im charging and never noticed it over heating. i got to try it again tomorrow.
