Verizon December Security Update

Woke up this morning to a new security update... It was already downloaded and still in a daze I selected to install it. Haven't seen any issues yet, my Note is still buttery smooth. How about y'all?

Yep, installed on mine too. After the install, I dumped my cache in Settings and Recovery. Will have to give it a couple of days to see how it behaves.

I saw that and just keep putting it off. After the last update I have seen poor battery performance and random restarts.

Is mostly a monthly security. I was getting them regularly on my S8+.

I just installed it. No problems noted. Verizon is pretty good about testing.

Yep I got the updated time zones last night before going to bed. Did the update at o'dark thirty... Just did a restart afterwards and it's running smooth as silk.

How do you clean the cache?

Settings>Device Maintenance>Storage>Internal Storage. Then tap on Cached Data and confirm you want to clear it.

The other cache is a bit harder to clear. Power off the phone. While NOT on a charger, hold down the volume up and bixby buttons at the same time and then hold the power button. Hold them all down until you see the blue recovery screen start. In Recovery, use the volume button to scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition. Hit the power button to select it. Scroll down to yes on the next screen and hit the power button. Then hit the power button to select Reboot system now.
