Verizon family data share plan pricing info

Verizon has said they listened to their customers who wanted shared data, like shared minutes and texts. If that's the case why do they only offer unlimited voice minutes and texts and shared data, shouldn't there also be a shared minutes plan? My fam would pay about $30 more per month under the new plan. Only 2 smartphones and we would be under the 2 gb cap. We share 700 minutes and don't come anywhere near, so we would be forced to take unlimited minutes!

I hope they adjust the new plan in time.

But existing customers aren't forced onto Share Everything.

The minutes etc are unlimited because verizon is preparing for the switchover to VoLTE, which will just be data.

But if Verizon is really listening to their customers, we want a cheaper per gb plan if its shared and will trade less minutes/messages for that. hello hello anyone there are you listening? I can hear a pin drop, Verizon can only hear coins drop

That is the problem for Verizon. Most people the first thing they do when they renew their contract is drop their minutes to the lowest plan. We have 700 minutes and we never come close to using all these minutes. When I was with AT&T I had tons of roll over minutes - I did not care about losing them since I never used them.

Verizon is trying to maintain their existing revenue stream. If one goes down - like shared minutes then they are going to raise something else - like extra lines and data. We are seeing a fundamental shift in wireless carriers who once made their money of minutes and data was just extra to having to make their money of data and minutes being extra.

The voice of the shareholders is louder than the voice of the customers.

Minutes and texts have little value, so Verizon is basically going to give them away. Talk and text all you want.

This is all about keeping ARPU up as people switched their minutes and text down.
