Verizon G3 browser lag

We switched from Sprint to Verizon, due to some changes, mainly finding put Sprint doesn't work at our new house.

I've been an iPhone guy, the guy who gets the New one yearly. I've dabbled in Android off and on. The family all prefer Androids.

So, after falling in love with my wife's old G2, and seeing her New G3, I decided to go with it. For the most part, I'm very happy. However, I use the browser a lot, and it's pretty much useless on here. Any movement of the page, or resizing, and it just goes white. No recovery, just gone. I tested Firefox, same thing, and my wife's does it as well.

I had no issue with the One M8 which my son has, and I testes my daughter S5, which also works great.

I really want to keep this phone. I have a few more days before the 14 day window is up. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm using the Chrome browser.

I don't want to root it. I'll change phones before that. I need this for work, so I can't risk it.

I also REALLY don't want to jump back to the iPhone. It was fun, but it's gotten pretty rough since the 6.

Did you check if there are any updates for Chrome? Mine works fine, even with constant resizing, downloading, videos, etc.

If the updates didn't help, you might want to do a factory reset as a last resort (just backup your data first).

I don't believe rooting will fix this issue. Try the reset as suggested by Rayfire and let us know how that goes.

That is strange. Try the Chrome Beta app as well to see if it does the same thing? Sounds like an app issue with LG firmware and not the phone.

Well here's the update. The phone was showing serious lag that my wife's wasn't. It also started rebooting and dropping calls. Hard reset, no better.

I took it back, wound up swapping for a Galaxy S5, since the only color they had the G3 in I didn't like.

That's one way to fix the problem, heh.
