It sounds like the root didn't "stick". What ROM are you using? If your stock 4.0.4 and you used wugs tool kit you may need the updated su.zip

What process did you use to root? If you use Wugs toolkit, it should have done everything that you need to have root stick. If you didn't use Wugs, use it and just tell it to root your phone since your already unlocked and follow the on screen instructions. Once you do that you can then start flashing.

However, I will tell you to be very cautious about using Recovery Manager. The app is fine, but you want to get use to using the manual method of recovery. If you need any help with how to manually flash a ROM after you achieve root, let us know.

I am using the CWM rom manager from the play store. though I was not able to use Wugs toolkit BC I only have a Mac...looks like ill have to break out the old pc for this. the superuser app did show up but its not asking for permissions when I open up applications..

Open SuperUser and go to settings and find update binary. If it wont let you do that, your don't have root.
