Ok I searched through the Galaxy Nexus threads and there wasn't any posts on a solution or really anything to do with my issue so please if this was already posted and it didn't show up in the search don't crucify me.

Ok I'll give a little background. I got my Verizon Nexus about a week ago and so far I've had no issues until right now. I even had the Nexus connected to my computer with no problems I synced my music, books, movies, everything without a hitch. That is until I downloaded Samsung Kies! After it installed my phone would still connect no problem through the normal ways without connecting to Kies. I could open up the phone or connect to Windows media player and sync music, but it wouldn't connect to Kies itself. It would just keep saying connecting and then it would bring up the Windows auto play menu then say it was trying to connect again after a few minutes it would bring up the auto play again. So basically it wasn't connecting to Kies at all. So I noticed on Kies that it had a troubleshooting connecting option. So I select the option and it brought up a new menu stating to make sure that I disconnect my Nexus. Of course I do then I hit yes to start the troubleshooting option. The Kies troubleshooting option stated that it was reinstalling the drivers. So after its finished I plug my Nexus in and I get a error saying Windows can't connect device it doesn't recognize it click here for more details. So of I check out the details and it brings up a new window the says Unknown Device Windows has stopped the device code 43. Now I've seen this before elsewhere and opened up the properties because of the drivers. So I try to do the same thing so try and update the drivers our roll back to the previous drivers, but all the options are grayed out so I can't select them. So basically Kies screwed up my drivers and now my pic won't recognize my Galaxy Nexus for me to be able to sync music, movies or anything that matter. I know that there are ways to connect through like air droid, but the Galaxy Nexus is similar to the iPhone because you have to sync music for it to recognize on your player if you drag and drop it won't recognize the music in the folder Or player.
I'm on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus not rooted, no custom roms, 4.1 Jelly Bean. I'm also using Windows 7 64 Bit Home Edition. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this issue? Please I literally want to call Samsung & chew them out. I'm pretty good when it comes to these devices and I try to be super careful when connecting them via sub, but when it's Samsung's very own software that screwed up the drivers I get a tad upset and I don't want to have to replace the phone if I don't have to. Thanks much appreciated sorry for the long explanation I wanted to be thorough and give a precise account of what happened. :-\

Kies does not work with galaxy nexus as it is a google branded phone. It is also not like the iphone because you can drag and drop music. Your Windows machine probably converted it all to .wma so you might need to download a .mp3 converter.

PowerAmp plays .wma just fine. It costs a little but it's the best player I have yet run across.
