I think usually Samsung passes inspection process faster if your coming from previous device such as s25u if it's older they may take a closer inspection.
I'm not sure if there's a pattern. I've always traded in the previous generation phones. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it takes a long time. This time it's taking a long time, and I'm sure there are others here with S25U trading in who are waiting for more than a week.I think usually Samsung passes inspection process faster if your coming from previous device such as s25u if it's older they may take a closer inspection.

I've waited longer than 21 before. I have to say it was at least a couple months, I know I forgot about it then out of the blue I got approved email.Last year 21 days went by and I had to call for my credit. This year they received my trade in on Friday and I got the approval email Sunday night. So there is no rhyme or reason. As long as you have proof of delivery there should be no problem. It is annoying though to have to wait.

The hardest part is over once they sent confirmation they received your device and waiting on inspection, so that means it's not missing or stolen and they already checked the IMEIStill stuck on pending. They sent my received email on the 16th and still nothing further and it was the S25 Ultra. This makes me so nervous.
However, I've had one year when after they received my device, they didn't send me the all checked out OK email for a long time. Eventually, I called and they told me they couldn't find it anymore, but they do acknowledge that they did receive it. So they ended up saying it passed inspection and gave me my trade in credit. The hardest part is over once they sent confirmation they received your device and waiting on inspection, so that means it's not missing or stolen and they already checked the IMEI
Never thought about it like that. Makes sense though. The hardest part is over once they sent confirmation they received your device and waiting on inspection, so that means it's not missing or stolen and they already checked the IMEI
Those things can happen but the odds are in your favor and this time around UPS.However, I've had one year when after they received my device, they didn't send me the all checked out OK email for a long time. Sheesh. Losing my phone? Weird.
Mine was delivered yesterday (Friday) morning and I received my received email around 10 hours later in the evening. Those things can happen but the odds are in your favor and this time around UPS.
Almost thereMine was delivered yesterday (Friday) morning and I received my received email around 10 hours later in the evening.
Thank goodness one part has been "checked" (Samsung received) and now, it's a matter of them approving its condition.

I thought the received email acknowledgement was just to confirm that the shipped trade-in package had been received at the warehouse. But it doesn't validate what's delivered inside the package. This is just a confirmation that your trade-in package has safely been delivered at the warehouse. No guarantee though that FedEx or UPS hasn't stolen your phone in transitThe hardest part is over once they sent confirmation they received your device and waiting on inspection, so that means it's not missing or stolen and they already checked the IMEI

The next step is where the inspection team will unbox and inspect the phone, check the IMEI, damage, etc., and confirm that the trade-in is good to go.
For example, haven't people received emails and then later received trade-in rejected emails because the device was not matching or other reasons?
Either way, there's no point in stressing. We're anyway not waiting for a refund, and Samsung has already applied the trade-in refund. They can take their time as long as the final verdict is trade-in accepted.![]()

that's not entirely accurate:
samsung can then inspect the package and decide that its condition is subpar and then actually CHARGE you the $900 that they have given us as credit towards the new phone. so the fact that $900 credit has already been given doesn't take away their right/ability to charge us the $900 if and when they determine that the phone's condition is subpar.
