Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Re: The Verizon Note 8 is $786 at Best Buy

Really it's showing me a retail price of 949. :(

You sure you didn't accidentally click on the S8?

Re: The Verizon Note 8 is $786 at Best Buy

Wow, great price for going through Best Buy!
Wish they had the T-Mobile versions as well...

Deals to be had folks, deals to be had. If you're not a Day 1, gotta-get-it-right-now fanatic, then wait a month or 2.

Samsung will be trying to steal thunder from the iPhone 8+, Pixel 2 XL and lastly the V30.

With trade-ins and promotions that can be sold off, people really shouldn't be paying more than $600 out of pocket for a Note 8.

so the question is preorder from vzw and trade in g6 for the half off or do best buy and for the 150 and sell g6 on eBay? is verizon gonna give annual upgrade on the note 8 as well??

I'd imagine they'd still do the annual upgrade

Of course Best Buy is usually the cheapest at launch/preorder but don't expect to be one of the first with the phone. They are usually the slowest to ship and pick up in store can be iffy. But hell my S8 Plus is holding strong.

No in-store pick up no bb order for me I leave for vacay the next morning

yep pretty sweet deal on Verizon with 50% off hopefully I have something that qualifies..

I have a paid off Pixel XL in very good to excellent shape since I don't like it so played with it less than usual. Hoping they'll give me half off for that. I was going to try and order through Samsung to see if I could get their Note 7 discount but I think it comes out ok on Verizon and I know how to order from them and so will stick with that. Orchid gray I hope, and the sd card and wireless charger. This says pre order starts 12:01 est . That's 3oo am here. Looks like no sleep tonight.

Any news on how carriers will handle the ex-Note 7 user discount?

EDIT - Just saw the $425 discount is through Samsung.com only, and that Verizon is doing it's own discount.

So back here I have come, after my year with the iphone, after giving the note back. Anyways, wicked excited, as I've had every note except the 5, which is when I departed for the iPhone. Anyways, how does the Verizon 50% off work? I had both note 7's and then went back to iphone for the past year. Is it just by what was once registered on my account and automatic? I'm hoping to preorder tonight at midnight, but want to know how it's going to shake out. Sorry if it's been posted but figured I'd ask specifically. I don't want to go the Samsung.com route if I don't want to, but after the mess with the note 7, I'd really like to enjoy the 50% off :) Thanks guys and gals!

Quick edit- I owe $80 dollars on my iphone before it is 50% paid off to make me upgrade eligible, am I able to do this when I go to preorder or should I make the payment seperately now before to make things smoother? I assume they'll charge me $80 plus tax on my credit card just as easily as 2 payments of tax and then the remainder of my iphone. Sorry for the long post!

It appears that the "up to $425" discount with a trade-in for previous Note 7 owners, is only direct from Samsung - Verizon may have a discount, but it's not this one.

Anyone know if you can purchase a phone for the Verizon network directly from Samsung? Also, if you do, I assume it's an 'unlocked' version without all the bloatware. Any confirmation?

Verizon's promotion is up to $480 off of the Note 8, in installments throughout 24 months, ending when the phone is paid off in full or when service is terminated. They just don't make mention of what phones are eligible to trade in for that $480 off exactly, and it has been worded differently between sources whether it applies to people who owned the Note 7, or if it applies to anyone purchasing the Note 8. The $425 discount is definitely only from Samsung as you said, but my question was more directly related to whom would be eligible and would it matter if you were loyal to Samsung after the recall or not.

Halfway down the page under pricing and availability.

When you pre order they will tell you what you owe inorder to upgrade. I just paid off my old phone via my Verizon so I am ready for 1201am! Gonna get a black note 8! are the freebies by mail separately after getting the phone or will they ship with the phone?
