Verizon Galaxy S8 loosing SD Card

have Verizon Galaxy S8 with an SD card and it seems to loose the connection to the card on a regular basis.

i pull the sim and sd card out and the put them back in and it finds them just fine.

use the phone normally thru out the day and then it seems to lose the connection to the SD card.

i have my camera set to save to the sd card but then get the notices that it cannot find the sd card and it reverts to saving on the internal memory.

anyone else facing this issue?

any fix or troubleshooting that can be done to fix this?

Does this happen with other SD cards? At this point, if any of the data on that SD card is important, I'd make sure to back it up now, in case this is a symptom of that the card might be corrupt or failing.
