This idea just hit me today, that with three rumored launch dates in the coming week, 17th, 18th, and 21st, there is actually a good chance that we will have three sleepless nights, and followed by three disappointments. The hype (anxiety) is building larger and larger, and I am getting quite afraid to suffer three bitter disappointment in a week...

So, I am curious how many fellow GN fans think we will have three bitter disappointments in a week, and how many think we will have a hit in these three dates.

I think all three will come and go with no nexus :( hopefully im wrong I hope it hits on friday because thats when I gets paid :)

I just hope maybe we get a date one of them days. Kernel update came out today. Hopefully it was a fix they were waiting for and it will be here soon.

I think we will see something from Verizon soon. There is no reason not to release it with this new holiday return policy. Even if they did wait until late December everyone that buys a phone tomorrow and on will have a chance to return it for it. I think they would want to minimize returns by actually releasing the phone at this point. I know if I don't hear anything by the end of the week I will probably buy a Rezound and return it when the Nexus is released or on Jan 8th if its not out by then. If everyone buying the Nexus did what I am planning on doing Verizon would get a ton of returns and that is not something they want.

It is a good idea, but I just don't want to deal with Verizon besides necessary... Buying and returning seem to be involving a lot of risks (who knows what hidden fee / hassle they will bring upon us...)

As long as you don't break it you pay the $35 restocking fee and that is it. Make sure you have the box and all accessories and you are set.

I think the contest means that it's coming the 21st or 22nd,
however
I haven't got my hopes up. I'm still holding on my prediction that won't feel like I can trust it if it's not out by Black Friday. Many people here have many reasons they disagree with the following, but I still say that if it's not announced by the 25th, VZW doesn't have it.

Don't quite follow the comment. What did you mean by this?

Thought about doing this with the Rezound. Gonna wait till the weekend and see if VZW actually gives us any details. Would gladly pay the 35 bucks just so VZW would only be able to sell it as an "as new" and loose money. On my third, soon to be fourth droid charge. This can't come soon enough.

Was also wondering if this "testing" will apply to other software updates. Are we getting a 3/4th experience here?

im very curious what VZW's number are going to look like the day of and the few days after the gnex comes out compared to the razr/rezound... I think it will be rather laughable at how many gnex handsets they sell in the first few days :D

just my thoughts :)

I think one of the dates will hit because, I'm trying to remain positive and, believe in the power of positive thinking. :)

That doesn't sound too bad at all... Now my ultimatum for them is the Monday after Black Friday!

I have completed my research and everything points to the 18th, so yup thats when its going be :p

Where did you see a kernel update? Here's hoping it's the fix Verizon needs. They can then release the phone from their warehouses and when we boot it up for the first time we will see an update instantly.

I'm not counting on the 17th or 18th being the release date, simply because that's two and three days from now. I'd think they'd announce it at least 2-3 days beforehand, rather than say nothing, and just go "Okay, it's out now". The 21st is still possible, but if they don't say anything by the 19th, I'd discount that, as well. Maybe the 17th or 18th is when they'll officially announce the date.

Weve still yet to see an FCC filing for the i515 as well... so who know :'(

How often does Verizon announce official release dates other than the OG Droid countdown ad campaign? Almost never.
