Verizon Implementing $30 Upgrade Fee Starting April 22

Verizon Wireless today said that beginning on April 22, all customers will need to pay a $30 fee when upgrading to new devices at the two-year discounted price. According to Verizon, the fee will help the company continue to offer services such as wireless workshops, expert consultations, and online educational tools. Verizon pointed out that customers trading in or recycling old devices can offset the fee with the value of their trade-in.
