Verizon GS3 is shipping..........SOON!!

While it's certainly true that "by July 11" could mean any day up to and including July 11, based on past experience with Verizon they seem to bump right up against the latest day possible.

On the other hand, I will be happy to be wrong on this one, and next week open the door to FedEx delivering my GS3.

Same here 2 years ago when I got my DX, I remember it saying 9/15 and it was on my door step on 9/15!

but again the $1.00 charge did happen and now it's gone!

Thing is, that's the day we would lose our unlimited data (assuming you're grandfathered in as well). I'm hoping it comes in Tuesday or else I'm gonna have to order it from Verizon before Thursday and ordering Wednesday would be cutting it a little close. So hopefully its Monday/Tuesday, but who knows. Fingers crossed!

Yeah! I don't mind if I don't get unlimited though, and it makes my bill $20 cheaper and I don't really use lots of data, but unlimited is nice just because it doesn't make me worry about going over

Just relax.. It takes Verizon a lot of time to load and test all the bloatware to make sure you get the worst experience possible... It's not easy to make sure all the bloat works well on the device.. Just relax and give them time..

I pulled this from a comment's section from another website. I have no idea if this is correct, but it really does make sense. The earliest pre-orders will ship on July 9th, and then each day more will go out and, hopefully, by the official in-store release (Thursday, July 12th), all pre-orders will have have been fulfilled:

"Verizon's actual in store release date won't be til July 12th. The pre-orders will be in consumers hands in this order- First wave: July 9th, Second wave: July 10th, and the third and final pre-order wave will receive their phones on July 11th. Then on the 12th the phone will be released to stores across the country. This comes from a very good source."

I just noticed that the pending charge is no longer on my checking account. So I called Verizon and asked if that meant shipping of my phone was imminent, and they said YES!! I so can't wait!! Just letting you guys know.

The pending charge simply fell off. You obviously haven't been charged for the device yet so I wouldn't hold your breath.

I thought they were very clear about July 10th. What's happened since then to make anyone think it'll be weeks sooner? Did I miss something?

All they said was WILL SHIP BY JULY 9TH. I know some people do not understand that and think that means it will not ship until then but with past phone launches it has shipped before the date on their site.

I know with previous verizon phones the charge was pending then went away and then came back once they charged the card. I have nothing pending on my account which i preordered the phone with.

I'm inclined to think that too. It matches up perfectly with fourteen days between end of unlimited and the end of the return period. Not to mention, the rep in my VZW store told me that too when I was ordering, not that they are too knowledgeable.

Not that I ever trust anything a Rep says but that's basically the story I got today when I called asking about when the phone would ship... I brought up the fact that the website says "BY" July 10th and asked if that means anywhere from now until that date.. she told me the phone will ship 2nd day air on the 10th and will arrive to me on the 12th. I ordered a GSIII from Sprint and that's the exact way it worked also.. the phone was released on June 21st and I received my pre-order that same morning.. phone shipped out on the two days before.

I called and talked with verizon yesterday about a completely unrelated issue and also inquired about my order since my issue was with my current DROID Incredible. The rep told me that my gs iii should be in my hands on July 10th as that is the day I had on my confirmation email. Indicating it would ship a few days before that. Hate to feed all the rumors but just be patient. It will get here when it gets here.

As a side note it was funny the comment the rep said to me when she saw my pre order... "wow that's quite the upgrade for you..." ha ha not quite sure what it meant but struck me as funny.

I talked to a rep today, and I decided to inquire about the GS3. She told me it will never be released, I thought that was a bit odd so she got her supervisor on the phone who said the same thing, adding that it was all a ploy by VZW to get people off unlimited data. Again, I found this a bit odd so we kept going up the chain of command, and eventually got the CEO on the line. He apologized very sincerely and told me that it was all a big mistake and that he would get the phone shipped to me ASAP and applied the charges to my account. We had a good laugh over this, I thanked him and before I hung up, he said "One more thing... Galaxy S3 isn't real. **** you. bye loser."

Suffice to say it was quite the learning experience.

It will ship either July 6th / July 9th date barring no unforeseen delays, as what I was told friday June 22.
It wont ship before July 6th this point was clearly pointed out to me no if, ands, or exceptions.
Since July 6th is a friday and started if shipping process started on friday, yes that means you could receive the S3 on July 9th.

Exactly. The original pending charge fell off and you'll get charged once shipping starts.
