Verizon GS3 is shipping..........SOON!!

I pre-ordered on 6/6 at 7am EST, the very moment they opened pre-orders.
As of 30 sec ago, there has been zero activity on my credit card.
A quick check with Verizon..everything is ok with my order & my card will be charged on the day it ships.

That was what I was told also. I pre-ordered mine over the phone on 6/7. The pre-order number is in the system and I was told that everything is on schedule, my plan was locked in and the card will get charged upon shipping. I am patient. Just waiting. :)

Thanks Guys & Gals.
Your always good for a laugh.
Anyone will be able to walk in the store and buy the phone 24 hrs after the July 11th deliveries on July 12th.
Without the Drama. :)
But,
Those that are trying to save their unlimited data by taking the subsidized package prior to June 28th may need to "activate" the ( a ) phone in the next 72 hrs before the New Data Package Era begins...
If it were me,
I would go and buy & activate the cheapest 4G phone in the store on the June 27th to guarantee I've locked in my *unlimited data & upgrade* then just return it for the S3 at a later point.
Of course you would need to use your Costeco Account to do this.
Verizon is slick.. June 28th until July 11th is *Excactly* 14 days = the return period.

... What are you talking about? If you preordered the S3 you get to keep your unlimited data. If you exchange a phone for the S3(or any other phone) within the 14 day return window, you will lose your unlimited data.

Wrong again. When I pre ordered through Verizon online I had to select my data option (which defaulted to my current unlimited data option), and then I had to agree to the terms and conditions. IOW, I ordered the SGS3 and kept unlimited data. Anyone should be able to do this prior to the 28th, as has been noted multiple places from multiple sources.

If Verizon did try this (I dont think they will, given the mountain of evidence) you can bet a lot of people would just be slapping the return label back on the box and going to a different carrier. I think they did plan the contract changes for the release of the SGS3 but the pre-order window was set out there to allow anyone otherwise super pissed about the changes (namely single-line data guzzlers) to get a more favorable contract for the duration. This way they can keep the customers who know how good it is to have unlimited/cheap data, and then woo new customers with the handset in the future. The bait is a little less effective since every other carrier has the SGS3 though, so Verizon clearly doesn't have their head too far in the clouds.

Yes. Let's blame Verizon for something that hasn't happened yet.

I was just saying, that would be our luck. That Verizon would ship them out early and it would be a Friday so we wouldn't get it until tuesday the 9th anyway. I didn't say it would happen.

I bet Verizon wasn't ready to announce the new plans yet when other carriers started their s3 preorders. Verizon had 2 options. First was to do nothing and risk losing potential new or current customers to the other carriers because of their track record on releasing phones in a timely manner. Or second option was to list their preorders and bite the bullet on having to allow some people to keep unlimited data longer. They chose option 2 because I bet their number crunchers determined this option would make them more money.

VZW boasts their network above all else, and their network is solid. None of us know the exact reasons for their timing of the release, but yes, attempting to make more money is the goal of businesses.

Every time this thread is updated I get a little more happy.

I pre ordered the SG3 through Best Buy and in the meantime burned my upgrade on a DROID RAZR Maxx. I have until the 15th of July to exchange my phone... I am hoping it comes out by then. I love the battery of the Maxx, but the SG3 is just so sexy.

Obviously the year is wrong, but that's interesting that it says 6/26. I ordered the first hour that pre orders went up and my ship date still says "not available." oh well.

Colonel Sandurz: Try here. Stop.
Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
Colonel Sandurz: Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.
Dark Helmet: What happened to then?
Colonel Sandurz: We passed then.
