Which one besides the HTC ONE??

Battery life is one of the things holding me back on the HTC One. The design is very sexy and I love love love the fact that there is a 64GB choice. My 2 main requirements are all day battery life (6:00am to 11:00pm) and at least 32GB of internal memory without SD card.

The battery life speaks for its self.
The memory requirement is due to the way I manage my music. When you "pin" Google music to your phone it stores it on internal memory with no option of putting it on your SD card. I like to cary a large library of my music to play during the day. Where I work I don't get a reliable internet connection so I can't use the cloud.

I'm looking at the Droid Line -- Droid Maxx would be the one if I go that route.
I'm also looking at the Moto-X (32BG when it becomes available) as well as the new LG device.

I would be paying full contract price for this phone so I want to make sure I get the right phone for me and the way I use it.

Brenda P: Hello. Welcome to the Verizon Wireless Sales Chat, my name is Brenda. May I have your name, please?
You: Hi any info on the HTC One besides the email sign up page
Brenda P: Not at this time, no. The sign up page is the only information we have right now.
Jamie : well that stinks what the hell is verizon thinking and why are they taking so long to release or even give a date it will be released. There are many people who wanted this phone but are getting a sour taste with verizon.
Brenda P: I apologize, we do have to work with the manufacturer to make sure the phone is up to date to work with the largest and most advanced network.
Jamie : I give verizon kudos on the great network but they need to speed up and be a little more less critical about devices and give consumers more choices on devices we are the ones paying the bills and making the stock holders money!!!So many people are bad mouthing verizon in forums and leaving verizon for other carriers!!!! It's a shame great network, but every one complains about the customer service and devices!!!
Brenda P: I'm not sure exactly what you mean. We gain more customer's than we have lost, in fact, we have the lowest lost customer rate than any other carrier.
Jamie : That's only because we have have to put up with the BS or leave for a so so network most of us stay only because the of the network. If the other networks were as good as verizon I would of left a long time ago.
Brenda P: And we do not want to release a phone that will not work to the best of its abilities. We have had issues with phones in the past that weren't fully tested, so now we are making sure that all newly released phones will work on the network without causing strain to the customer after they purchase the phone.
Jamie : I understand that but it just seems like verizon plays partial to certian phone manufactures. Well thanks for listening to my rant Have a great day!!!
Brenda P: Did you have any other questions today?
Jamie : no thank you Bye!!!!
Brenda P: It's been a pleasure speaking with you today. Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless. Have a wonderful rest of your day!

The 15th has come and went....
My hopes are low and slightly bent....
The 29th is in two weeks....

Verizon is just the worst. I mean AT&T has shades of evil as well but at least that have a good phone selection and you can use unlocked devices on their network. I can understand from a business prospective why Verizon isn't releasing the ONE until after this Droid crap launches. They could at least have the decency to email the customer who have inquired about the ONE and let them know a realistic release date. As a ONE owner I will say it is definitely worth the wait if you can stand it!

I hope it's soon. I'm planning on selling my iPhone 5 to purchase the One and I'll be losing money if it isn't launched before the 5S shows up. :(

No idea my friend. I'm hesitant to believe anything I read in regards to this subject. I have no faith in Verizon, and I left their service. I'm not going to pay more than everyone else to have the worst selection of devices and horrid customer service any longer. Not saying you should, just speaking from my own perspective. I hope you folks get it soon, because it's a really great device. I'm lucky to have one.

I am in NO way trying to defend Verizon here, but their customer service is actually pretty decent in my experience. There are plenty of things I don't like about them, but any time I've ever had to call CS with an issue they've helpful and easy to work with. Maybe I've just been lucky...?

Having said that, I hear ya -- I'm pretty sure my next device will be a Nexus phone on some other carrier (mainly because I'm sick of having to jump through hoops to unlock my bootloader and/or root my phone).

And there it is...Verizon doesn't need to care about catering to folks like us (enthusiasts who actually know their **** about these devices) when they continue to grow in leaps and bounds regardless.

I bet the HTC One release got postponed so much for two reasons:

1) The Nokia lawsuit
2) Having too many DNAs in stock. Selling the DNA at a lower cost to launch the One early would result in terrible One sales because the general public would pick the cheaper phone that still has the 1080p and quad core and wireless charging to boot.

Looks like they're trying to get rid of the lumia 928 also. They made it free. I think they're just making room for the new devices.

Our system now has the HTC one in it, it has a release date of 8/22.

I'm willing to bet there will be both silver and black models available on the 22nd, I mean why would Verizon just release the silver? I don't think there is any reason not to release the black, it's not special or anything.

I would think the black color is even more standard than the silver, so why is everyone saying there might not be a black?

There won't be black, I checked our systems and it says the silver model will be the only color available. Silver is considered their main color.

Wow, you'd think after all this waiting that they'd at least have more than one color choice. Can't say that I'm surprised though.
