Verizon is ending Free cloud service 10/20/2017

Ok call me dumb lol but what does ISP stand for? Oh wow. That's nice of you. Yeah I was just looking at all the storage options and prices they had. I'll definitely stick with Google drive and photos. Got another question for you. So since I had my contacts set to save on phone and Verizon cloud...since I'm not using Verizon cloud anymore and it's says phone....where are the contacts actually stored?
ISP stands for internet service provider. Usually people use the term when they're talking about home internet but you can also use it when you're talking about Wireless. In your case and my case our ISP for wireless is Verizon.

Also you can usually save contacts to your Google account if you go into your address book you should be able to change it from saving on the phone to saving to Google and it will usually show as your email address.

Oh ok. Gotcha thanks.

Hmm...I did change the default location to my email a few minutes ago. When I go to settings and select contacts to display and choose my email it only shows one contact. So I guess i have to start over on contacts then?

Hm there should be a way to get them onto Google. I'd have to look around. I've had them sync there for a long time so not fully sure.

I think there are options in your Phone Contact app to export to a file. Then copy that file to a PC and log into Google > Contacts and Import the file. Then there are options to find duplicates. Once it's all setup the way you want, open Contacts again on your phone and select the Google option for Contacts To Display / Contacts To Sync. Then they should always be saved as Google Contacts and sync with any new phone.

Will Verizon still have some way to back up your contacts, phone log, and texts? So that you can restore them when you have to reset your phone or get a new one?
Those are saved on Google servers not Verizon.
