Verizon....it's time.

Well when I posted this I was hoping that it would be time for them to be the innovator, not the crapinator.

So Ry how do you feel now about them saving people a lot of money on their tiered data?

Offering these shared data pools is innovative.

What's not is how they are priced. Which goes back to my initial thoughts on your rant - Verizon is too expensive.

Shared data is only an option and not the only way moving forward. All currently available individual and family plans will still be available to new and existing customers after June 28th. Everyone is spreading false information including tech blogs and news articles.

Not sure how a shared data plan is innovative. They have been doing this with voice plans for years, so it seems more of a model that is easy for them to adopt than them really innovate.

Shared data is new but not innovative when plans have shared minutes and messaging for years.

Ok maybe what I meant to say did not come out. What I maybe should have said was if you are going to charge a premium you have to deliver a premium. All the things Verizon has on the table that makes them the overwhelming best choice have limitations that will be overcome over time.

Innovative is not changing the contract pricing than saying ,"we saved you a penny cause we changed things for the better."

I don't even care if I have to buy my devices at full price and I get a new one ever 18months. Give me a reason that would make me stay with you (vzw) with at&t having a strong presence in my area.

I have not seen one person excited about unlimited talk or text. Maybe a business would be but I am assuming that moat people aren't sweating their minute usage. Maybe its more important than I realize but I have not seen any proof of that.

Heck offering unlimited minutes and texting is like a car dealership offering free car washes for a year to someone that lives 100 miles a way.

Now there are still to many unanswered questions or open points that can make a huge impact on these plans.

Offering a plan option that no one else is offering that could potentially save a good number of customers is innovative. Everyone is expecting the other carriers to follow suit. There's Verizon, leading the way.

In terms of charging a premium and customers getting a premium - they are already perceived to be in that position.

Saving customers money is innovative. Having them pay more for less is not! They know peopke text a lot. I am always within my minutes. I have friends and family. I use a lot of data. Going on the data plan is more costly for me. Not doing it
