Verizon Launch Delayed..(rumors)

I think most people are overjoyed that the galaxynexus is coming to verizon.

What we can't stand is this g*d*mn strip tease about the release date.

Now, if they did this crap with the LG Cosmos Touch, most people wouldn't have such a problem with it :p

I think there just gonna wait until everything is set. Rather than pull another Thunderbolt fiasco. Can't blame em. Im sure November is the month.

I'd like to know a release date, but I am beyond pumped that it was officially announced to be coming to Verizon (not that I had too much doubt anyway). I feel pretty confident that we're going to get it sometime in early November, so I am pretty freakin' excited! Plus I can survive if it takes a bit longer; it just allows me to accumulate a bit more money so I know I'll be able to get it right away.

I wouldn't bet on that being legit... now if you want to send me 800 bucks an never see it again I have a few charities that could use it.

Lol... I thought the same thing when I seen all the errors, and misinformation in the ad.

Had to show it anyway.

There's no way Verizon doesn't have this on the shelves by black friday.

If for some reason it wasn't, then there's a problem.

We'll see it sometime in November barring any late ICS debacle.

I would have hoped that this tread would be filled with people happy that the nexus was announced ..but still people have concerns? True this device isn't the most high spec one in the barn but using it side by side with a razr and I truly don't think specs matter.. its a NEXUS and its on Verizon LTE...it could be a nexus one and it would be the best device on the carrier..

Stock ics
Verizon 4G LTE with unlimited data.... this is why I haven't picked the razr the resound or even my sgs 2 up for quite a while..

And will always be bloat and Verizon meddling free...

Xmas is early this year android fans and the panda brought drinks! :p

I think people are happy Verizon acknowledged they will carry it, but are disappointed we don't have a firm date.

The specs are great and while many will complain they wanted "more", I imagine those same people would complain no matter what the phone has (or doesn't).

I for one just want the phone to come out so I can use it and look forward to the next iteration of devices. At this point I imagine we won't hear much about it from Verizon until very close to the release date.

As much as I would like to have a firm release date for the Nexus I am content in the fact that it is indeed coming to Big Red. This will be my first time owning a Nexus device and I am very excited to become part of the Nexus family. The release date will be here before you know it and we all will be basking in everything Ice Cream Sandwich and Nexus.

BMX, are you able to confirm a notification LED on this device? I keep reading it has one, but I have not seen a single hands-on video anywhere with the light blinking(and there are lots of hands-on videos around now). Just wanted to be sure ..

p.s. Thanks so much for sharing the info you have so far with us nuts !

It has notification LED at the bottom of the front glass panel slightly to the left.

That is awesome, I read as much. I was looking for some more confirmation though. Do you have a pic, video of it, anything?

I have made up my mind on getting the Nexus Prime but I have to say that Samsung, Google and Verizon are dropping the ball on this big time. You would think with a highly anticipated phone like this that they would be more concrete with dates etc. I can't imagine how many customers they lost to people going with the iphone or other devices. I am in no way an Apple fan. The only product that I own that is Apple is an older iTouch. But I do have to say that Apple is light years ahead of Google as far as how they market their products. When they have a product release, new features are clearly explained, costs and dates are given and everyone knows what to explect. I feel Samsung and Google did a horrible job with their promotion. They put this awesome operating system in a phone that, for the most part, is over 6 months or more behind other new phones coming out.....I just can't get over how weird that is. After their presentation was over, we all were left wondering when this product would be released, how much it would be, and why they included a barometer. I would have liked an explanation as to why they were including a 5 MP camera when all the other phones that came out recently have 8 MP cameras. So now, nearly 2 weeks after their announcement we are all still scratching our heads wondering what carrier it will be on and when the hell is it going to be released. I'm just curious if they are still stumbling around trying to get this thing finalized on a phone that is practically 6 months old what have they messed up on?

Verizon really doesn't care what phone we get as long as its on thier network (and has a data plan). I can't help but feel that in the back room at Verizon there is a little man with a boom mic saying "wait for it ...wait for it ...OK NOW release the Panda!!

I know, I feel the same way....but if this release is pushed back to December I'll go with another phone....one with up to date hardware. I could understand 100% if we were talking about a phone with specs like 10MP camera, 1.5 GHz dual core, sd card slot, 1.5 gig RAM etc, better screen, better battery etc. I would just think that it would make more sense to let everyone know the release date and when it would go on pre-order. I'm just anticipating another nightmare that there will be no pre-order and supply will be backlogged to Christmas.

the light is on the bottom along with the headphone jack (which by the way I hate the placement of both) as I use my devices for music while I work out it and in the car through the headphone jack I get concerned about stress on the port sitting in my cupholder... definite failure point as I had one go back for that already..

but the light is quite noticeable.. and works fine just kind of weird to have to look at the bottom to see it..
