Verizon LG G7 THINQ will let me make calls but no DATA

Hi,
I bought this phone from offer up two days ago.
He said it was a Verizon LG G7 THINQ and is UNLOCKED for all carriers.
When i got there I put in my SIMPLE MOBILE sim card and made a call and it worked.
But as I got in my car and turned on maps and tried to go home it would say it couldnt connect.
I brushed it off cuz ive had the same sim card for 2 years and it looked scratched up.
So I just bought a new SIMPLE MOBILE sim card and tested it and still cant use DATA to go on youtube or maps or anytihng BUT i can still make calls.
Any ideas??
