What happens if I disable this?

It provides your location to Web and app based services. Here is some additional information about feature: http://mobile.vzw.com/LocationAgent

There shouldn't be any problem with disabling the feature. Just not that if you rely on Verizon services that provide suggestions based on location you'll no longer have access to that with it off.
