Lunch was very boring without data.. :(

Do you guys think it is because of all the new 4G phones that are clogging up the system?

I'm not pointing any fingers but what about some of you who are HUGE data consumers 10 gig+ people, I know who you are...! j/k i guess Long Term Evolution has a long way to um.. evolve..

still no data in AZ (3G or 4G)....anyone have any suggestions? Should I call or wait?

Edit: 3G is in fact back.

Where are you in AZ? I ask because it's working for me in the Glendale/Phoenix area.

EDIT: In fact, I'm getting better signal right now than I ever have before (-83dbm 4 asu)

I'm getting 3G, but its dropping frequently. I also noticed that I'm not connected to the LTE 3g network, I'm connected straight to EVDO. I've never seen that happen before.

It was out here in salt lake, as well. Verizon reps at the mall kiosk said outage was due to upgrading towers and was affecting all 4g phones...that 4 other people in past ten minutes had stopped and asked same question if data was down. Could still make calls.

Edit: 4g has been back up past few hours.

I'm in NW Indiana and 4G isn't working but 3G is. I switched my g-nexus from cdma/lte to cdma only. I didn't reboot or mess with airplane mode. although, it took a minute to connect.

anyway, i'm hoping that good ol' verizon is just making some upgrades which is causing these outages instead of stuff being actually broken.

I switched to cdma as the preferred network and GNex is working fine on 3G

So 4G came back in NYC, but I forced back to CDMA. I still see that I am connected to the EVDo Rev A network, not the eHRPD that I had seen since day one. I remember, back when the Bolt had its first LTE network crash, there was a similar issue, where people had no data, then dialing #778# got you to modem settings, where you could disable eHRPD and force Rev A. This gave you working 3G. I think that even VZ cust svc reps were instructing customers to do this. Perhaps eHRPD is what caused the crash today, and has been disabled or something, I don't know, its just odd that I have never seen the Nexus on Rev, until the day the network went down.
