Verizon LTE Down... AGAIN!

I was on wifi most of the day, so i didn't realize i lost network connectivity. I was playing with widgetsoid and I thought that widget messed up my network settings, and then my nexus dialed *22889 by itself ! It totally scared the crap out of me, and i thought widgetsoid totally jacked up my phone.
Both 4G and 3G was out for a while, but 3G is working now..

I'm in South Tampa, Florida and I haven't had a 4G signal on my Nexus in about 4 days...not sure whats going on.

Mine's still down in the bay area... and kept rebooting taking out the sim card, airplane mode, toggling 3g and 4g and wouldn't take. Finally called verizon and stated just to leave it on cdma for now and they have totally disabled 4g network completely until they fix it. Asked if anything they can do for me for the outages and they credited $15 dollars to my account. So it's worth a shot to call and see what they can do for you.

I've noticed something different about this outage (at least in Atlanta). In previous outages, I would have to go through the ##778# gymnastics to reset the modem to Rev.A. I didn't have to do that today. Also, I tried the CDMA Only / LTE/CMDA switch and nothing would happen (stayed in 3G).

However, airplane mode toggling got me back an LTE signal, but it wouldn't stick. Same with a battery/SIM card pull and reboot. However, I just toggled airplane mode one more time (or is that two more times?) and for the past 15 minutes the LTE seems to be "sticking."

BTW, Thunderbolt user here.

I called in asking for a credit and they gave me $10/line for two months so I got a $80 credit for the inconvenience. I've been near wifi all day so it wasn't really an inconvenience though.

I was not using dta most of the day, but I was getting no 3G coverage at all in NC until about 45 minutes ago... (Not in 4G area)

When I called Verizon they said they were upgrading their 4G network...... upgrade fail?

Just got a Bionic today & was attempting to activate it no luck at home. Took it to store and he says the 4G is fixed now and should be rolling out But thier are so many new activations that its taxing the lines and it may take up to 7 hours for my phone to activate! UGH I am P.O'd!!!!

Same happened to me. I was surprised when it auto dialed.

Switching to CDMA only and toggling on/off airplane mode got me up on 3G a few hours ago and it's still going for me. Bay Area, CA.

Haven't checked 4G.
