Verizon LTE plans, how will they affect my current plan?

How will Verizon LTE plans affect me? I have an upgrade in Nov, so assuming they introduce tiered pricing this summer, will I still have my 30 dollar unlimited plan in Nov when I extend my contract? Am I better off asking for an early upgrade now so I could be locked in for 2 years from now or when I upgrade I will still be able to keep my unlimited plan?
