I have my N6 activated on a plan with 10GB of data. And I've been trying to get the BYOD discount that takes $25 off the $40 line access fee, making it $15. But they always tell me that they can't apply the discount because it's a NON-VZW device in their system. I always get a dead end trying to get them to add it.

So their BYOD plan seems a lot like false advertising to me.

Call Verizon ask for customer retention and tell them give you the discount or you will go to At&t. It worked for me

Thanks, this is actually my next step (before I try a branded VZW phone, and switch back to the N6).

It has been fixed. People have reported getting their monthly discounts for the non-vzw Nexus 6

I haven't received a bill yet from Verizon with the discount applied but according to others it is working and I did sign up for it on the Verizon website so I do think it is now working.

I found a big thread over at xda-developers.
Posts made that they are now getting the discount with their unbranded n6.
