Hello everyone

I bought the Samsung Note 5 N920V as I read that all Verizon LTE phones are factory unlocked.

I have inserted Three APN settings and changed preferred network mode to LTE/GSM
However I still cannot get any signal.
When I go to network operators, I can see all the UK mobile networks but when I try to register on 3 UK it buffers and eventually says unable to register.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks

Did you check with Three UK if the Verizon variant of the Note 5 supports all the bands needed? Also, if you got yours brand new, it still may be region locked to the North American market.

Additionally, here is a longer article with information about Verizon / Sprint devices on other networks.

Yep I checked the bands and 4g was supported

I bought it brand new, does that mean I need a Verizon sim card to activate the phone?

I checked whether it was compatible with the Three network using this website which seemed credible. It also had the same bands as the phone I am currently using now so I was expecting the same coverage.

I bought the phone because I thought all Verizon LTE phones came unlocked. The ebay page also said it was factory unlocked.
But I guess you need a verizon sim to activate the phone first...
