Verizon Note 7 "software update" already ?

Just got the a note 7 yesterday and I already have a software update available... I haven't updated yet because history shows that the updates sometimes brings it's own set of issues...

Im waiting until I hear from some of you guys and gals about the benefits of the update...

I don't see this mentioned on any other thread ? Help me made the right decision please !

Security update according to the notes you see when tapping the more info link. I did the update 6 hours ago, no issues yet.

I'm holding off on this for now in hope that they are closing an exploit for root with this update....

Been there, done that, and had to wait an extra 6mos for root... not making that mistake again...

Arrrrrggghhh !!! I should have known better than to take the STUPID UPDATE ! You would have thought I learned my lesson by now...

Note 7: The recent apps button no longer works... it keeps saying "no recent apps to display"
Worked fine before the "update"

Agreed... I should have known not to update the phone... it ALWAYS introduces more problems than it fixes ! I'm coming from a note 3 and the first update blocked root and FOXFI and screwed up GPS signal...

I think that the Verizon Note 4 is on June right? If so then not bad... Considering the Carrier free usa s7 is still on May.
