Verizon Note Edge Thread

OK - can you add folders to the app panel? If you can, I can't figure out how.

Finally got my BW clock/weather set up the way I like it, but haven't done much with adding apps to screens, since I'm adding to the edge panels my most used, but it would be nice to be able to add folders, which would allow even more app accessibility. I'm hoping Verizon didn't disable that if it works on other carriers.

Anyone have issues or success with nova launcher? I want it to show the edge screen all the time like on tw launcher, but it hides it on nova

Finally figured this out by doing a lot of Google searching. Here's what I found out for anyone else interested. Long press on the app when choosing apps to add to the panel. At the top, Create Folder pops up - and puts the new folder on the panel. From there, you can drag other apps into that folder.

I only had my Note 4 for two weeks before I exchanged it for the Edge. I found in those two weeks that the longer I had the phone, the better the battery got from conditioning it, I suppose. I'm hoping for the same with this phone. I also purchased this, because the charger and spare battery for the Note 4 was on back order.

I'm not the most techie person, but it's rated 4A, so I'd think that it can also fast charge. Never needed to use it with the Note 4, but glad that I have it if I do need it.

The one feature I'm hooked on right now is split screen in landscape mode!! I wasn't impressed at first because it was always in portrait mode when I tried it but it landscape mode it's just right. I have my messaging inbox split with being on the web, SWEET!!!!

Google Wallet works with this phone> it did not work with the Note 3 but works like a champ with the Note Edge.

By the way, the UAG works awesome. I ordered mine off of Ebay. Its the UAG Maverick or UAG clear. Normally, I hate the clear cases and think that they look ugly but, this clear case looks real nice. Flossy Carter on Youtube reviewed the case and speaks highly of it as well. He also liked the Boxwave case but felt that it was a good case for $10 but the UAG was much better.

I had the Samsung wallet case but returned it. It will not stay shut. Someone posted a picture on Android Central of the phone damage after it was dropped because it would not stay shut.

I really dislike the Incipio case from Verizon. It's too bulky. I am typing this on the Edge with no case and the phone feels so light and sexy. I have another case on order from vzw, the shell with kickstand.

Is it possible to get discount on buying accessories for the Note Edge directly from Samsung. If yes how?

PS: Samsung support said that the coupon will be mailed.

Nice find! I agree with you on the "fast charge" because it's a 4 amp output and it's USB 3.0.

If you register your phone on the Samsung page, they will email you a coupon for 50% off accessories. For some reason, when I registered my Note 4, I didn't get one and spent about a week trying to find the right email to complain about it, and they generated a code for me. If you have the same issue, if you want to PM me, I can give you that email address.

my phone was already registered when I signed on to Samsung website today.
I guess VZW links to them.

How did you get yours to switch to ART? Mine won't switch it acts like it is going to but ends up just restarting.

I went to Dev settings (tap build number 7times) and select the runtime to ART. It took a little time to restart but wasn't too bad. Make sure in the Dev options it didn't actually change to art, it doesn't make any visual changes except a little speed increase

Only way to find out is to try. They are good for 90 days.
