Verizon offer FREE INC2 or X2

Mine's back to stock, but the superuser app is still on there. I can't figure out how to remove it. Any ideas?
 
Like others have said, you probably don't need to worry about it as long as it's on some official version. But I did manage to get mine back to ED04 and ready to be returned. I flashed the Odin stock DL09, then ran the official EA28. update.zip, then the official ED01 update.zip. At that point, trying to OTA kept failing with either server unavailable or no update found. I waited a day, gave it another try and it found the ED04 update. If you really want to update and can't find the necessary files (DL09, EA28 and ED01), PM me and I'll get them to you.
i tried the ota today and everything worked fine
 
Got the Inc 2 and wife got the Droid X2, they would not budge on the Droid Charge. At first they would only commit to giving me a refurb fascinate but when I asked for a supervisor they came back and said that apparently there WAS a policy for replacement. So when I specifically asked for the Charge they demanded to know what website I had heard that a Charge replacement was even possible and I said the vzw support forums of course. They said well unfortunately the Charge was not a choice anymore, oh well i'll be happy with the Inc 2. For those of you still wanting the Charge there may be hope for you as my brother was successful in getting one today but only after he asked for a Supervisor, so good luck.

When the USB stopped working on my first rooted fascinate, I forgot to remove superuser before I unrooted... so, I was stock with it. I just used launcher pro, hid the icon, and they took the phone back no problem.
 
So after a good 2+ hours on the phone, 4 different tech support reps, and 2 different local verizon stores I have a droid charge coming. I will say 3 out of the 4 tech support reps said the droid charge was an option but it had to be ordered from the store. I went to the first store in my area and they told me in two different visits that it wasn't an option (didn't tell my why though.) So I finally had enough and politely ranted for a good 20 minutes on the phone about how I was getting the run around and they verified again it was an option and that I try the other store to see if I would have better luck. So finally this store agreed but let me know the true issue that the first store had. My phone was certified pre-owned so the warranty was technically up. Regardless due to the inconvenience they ordered me the charge and said if it wasn't for the cpo issue they could have done it no problem. In the end I won. It took some work and a lot of misinformation and some sleazy store employees withholding information but 2 employees one on the phone and one in the second store owned up to their mistakes and took care of the issue. Funny thing though is even being out of warranty they had no issues sending me the dinc2 or the x2.

Or not. Getting mixed reviews as to whether it does fix the missed call issue. Already saw one post saying they missed a call 10 minutes after installing ED05

That individual with the missed calls flashed the modem only. My interpretation of the thread is that the entire ED05 needs to be flashed to gain results.
 
Just an update: I called tech support again tonight and got the same info I got yesterday. "We can't offer a 4G device to replace a 3G device." Really frustrating. Despite my attempts at "other people are being offered the Charge" and "the X2 and Inc2 are downgrades in terms of screen quality from what I already have" they simply wouldn't budge. At this point it's almost becoming a matter of principle!

Yeah, the first guy I spoke with held his ground even after I had him check with his supervisor at least twice. The first corporate store I went to stood their ground as well. It wasn't until I pretty much laid it on the line for them and said here is the deal I have talked to plenty of people online that have gotten the Charge I understand if you have made the business decision to no longer offer it but if that is the case then just admit it to me. At that point when the customer service rep was transferring to tech support she must have told them I was pretty pissed or something because the guy came on the line and basically said right away that it was an option and that he was going to post the link to the vzw support page that detailed the info on the charge as being an option that way when I went into the store there would be the proof that they could do it.

I called tech support tonight, explained the issues that my wife and I were having with our Fascinates and within a few min she said it was a known issue with the phone and we could have our choice of the X2, Inc2 or the Charge, but the charge was only avaiable in stores. I was going back and forth between the Inc2 and the Charge, tech support said they were already getting calls about problems with the charge and the Inc2 was a good solid phone, she said all phones have there issues some more than others. plus 4g is spoty in my area at best at this time.
 
Make sure they note the account and there should be no problems.Thats all I did,called in they offered me the charge said I would have to go to the store.They noted the acount and the store ordered it.
 
I went to the store last night, and guy looked at the notes in the computer, and said oh I have to send i a kit.. I I can't give I one from the store, he said it would come in 3-4 days.. I hope that doesn't mean I get a refurbished..

1 hour + on the phone with 2 service reps, 2 supervisors, and a tech and nothing. 5 minutes in a store and I have a Charge coming my way. Don't bother calling tech support if you're wanting a Charge, they can only offer that in corporate stores
 
Called last night to inquire about the missed call issue. The woman I spoke with knew what I was talking about right away and offered me an inc2 or x2. Was hoping to get something before I go on vacation so she told me to go to a store to get it done.

Waited at my local store for around 30 minutes, and the rep I spoke with said they can't swap out phones in store.

Called again this morning and I now have an inc2 shipping to me for when I get back from vacation :)
 
Got my Charge yesterday evening, and its freaking sweet. Absolutely love this phone right now, blazing fast 4G speeds (11mpbs) and has been smooth like butter so far. The resolution looks phenomenal, the size, and weight is optimal...so happy I had so many issues on my Fascinate to get me to this point. Good luck to you all!
