If that's actually the make or break deal for you to use Verizon, I'd suggest calling and telling them as much. Carriers seem to be fighting fairly hard for getting new customers, so they may make an exception in your case.

I have no idea if that would work, but you never know. The worse they could do is say no and you'd be no worse off than you are now.
