Two choices for the bone heads on xda, ignore or slap 'em back. 😏

If you sideloaded pie will you still get OTA updates or do you have to sideloaded from now on?

Will factory reset revert back to 8.1?
Then will I receive OTA update?

If I have to sideloaded to new update can someone please post a link from firmware science?

6 paragraphs down is Google drive to download to sd card , you'll be on CSB3 when done and current . No more sd card update after this.

Dropped on my coworkers VZW branded 6/128, this morning in Tacoma, WA.

I wish night mode made gmail dark. I really like the night mode keyboard, settings etc.

First... for those who have Verizon's mobile hotspot service on their phone, has anyone noticed problems starting the service? Today while out I could not get the service to start. That even doing a restart or shutting down the phone wouldn't solve the issue. I could get on the internet, text and make calls, but the mobile hotspot wouldn't work. Oddly enough though, it's working just fine now.

Anyway a couple of days ago (Thursday morning) I got the Pie update. The 1.5 gig update took like 3 hours to download (a bit ridiculous), and the update seemed to take longer than usual to complete.

Haven't had time to go through everything, but on surface battery life seems to have improved. Problem wise, other than weird issue above, I notice the phone now takes about 50 seconds to startup - That's going from completely off to getting the home screen. That's longer than it used to take. And even doing a restart isn't as fast as it used to be.

So that's my experience thus far. As for the actual UI experience, I'm still rocking the Microsoft Launcher so I've not seen what Pie has to offer yet. I will, but it's low priority being I'm taking a 400 level Project Management class, plus I just built a new gaming rig. Everything's happening and I'm right in the middle of a 400 level PM class :(

I use it pretty much every day, all day. No issues. Possibly there was an issue on Verizons end when you were having problems. Hopefully you won't see that again.

Yeah, that's what they were saying at Best Buy. In fact one of the sales rep was complaining about her service before I even asked my question.

Still baffled about the long startup / restart times since the update though.

Thanks.

I didn't find Pie all that different except for worse battery life and more ram consumed.
