Verizon pre orders

I still owe like $750. on the S21 Ultra with Verizon and don't have the funds right now to pay it off for an upgrade.

Hate to start up another line just to get the S22 Ultra.

Guess I could sell the S21 Ultra on eBay and just eat the difference.

What is my best way to get the new S22 Ultra on launch day?
You can trade in the s21 on Samsung, even if you owe on it. You willl break even with the trade in amount. You will just keep making payments on the s21. Verizon treats it as a loan and will take you to collections if you don't pay it off. I've traded phones not paid off before thru Samsung or best buy. I'm not sure it will work thru verizon though.

If you have more then one line and one or more with no device payments you can transfer your device payments to a line that does not have device payments. Then your line is open to do the S22 Ultra. You can not transfer payments to another line if you did a promotion that ties that line up, such as the S22 Ultra $1,000 trade in. This trade in will tie your line up for 36 months, you can't change plans or swap device payments around it, the line is tied to this promotion. A call to Verizon would tell you your options here. Verizon still is showing the black 512 arriving Friday.

Those are a couple options. Samsungs method will not get you the phone on release date

What if I start up a new line with Verizon, order the S22 Ultra, then sell the S21 Ultra within a couple of weeks and pay it off.
Would I be able to transfer my number from the S21 Ultra to the new S22 Ultra and close that old line out?

With Verizon the black 512 will still be here by the 25th if I order today.

I need to keep my S21 Ultra's number.

If you get a new line you will have to keep it till the phone is paid off, just went through this for the past 24 months with Verizon. I did a bogo and it added a line that I never used for $20 a month.

But he should be able to port a number over if the other line is paid off. He will have to keep the new added line, but he should be able to port a number over

I would think you could do that. The old line cancels out when you port the number, it's paid off so that's no problem. Would be no different if you port that number to another carrier. You're keeping the new line. Sounds doable IMO. As far as I know the number isn't tied to the promotion, just the line.

If they won't do that, well port there s21 number to a prepaid, then port out back to the new line.

Call and ask. If it's like I suspect, you can just order it.

I just received UPS shipping notice for my S22 Ultra 512GB. The label was created yesterday, shipped today and scheduled to arrive tomorrow! The shipper is identified as Fresno Special, though I confirmed this is Verizon.

My Tab S8 Ultra 512GB is being delivered today. Samsung Christmas in February!

You ordered a green one? Mine has been in Fresno for 2 days before it moved to Oakland!

Both my phone (Black Ultra 512GB) and tablet (S8+ 5G) are out for delivery & I'm currently in the estimated delivery window. The wait is really getting to me (I'm tracking the truck on UPS & it's so close).

T-Mobile gave me $1000 off the Ultra for a trade in of a Note 10+ that I purchased from ebay for $275. That is also with the memory upgrade. So I will have spent $475 for the Ultra.
